The AONB Unit is situated at the Council offices in Pwllheli.
The unit’s main objective is to oversee the day to day management of the AONB and implement the Management Plan that has been specially developed for the area.

The AONB Unit has two members of staff.
As the Llŷn’s AONB Officer, Bleddyn leads the Council’s core work within the AONB, leading on and coordinating the preparation and delivery of the statutory Management Plan for the area.
As a Projects Officer, Morus takes the lead on projects that arise from the Management Plan. Another aspect of the work is the implementation of the Sustainable Development Fund, arranging events to raise the profile and awareness of the AONB, along with assisting in the development and implementation of the Management Plan.
Kevin Roberts was appointed as the AONB Countryside Warden in March 2021 with financial support from the Welsh Government. Kevin leads on access, nature and maintenance projects within AONB and works with our team of volunteers.
